CROSS-MEDIA
Chris is an artist-flaneur, travelling hopefully across media and contexts. To say that his practice is broad would be an understatement, it includes drawing, (especially environmental frottage and performative drawing), painting (especially innovative approaches to watercolour), printmaking (including direct printing from food), installation, assemblage, collage, photography (especially documented derives), live art/performance, writing, acting, music and much more. Central to everything he does is an exploration of the stratigraphy of context. Whatever the medium, whatever the context, Chris’s art addresses contemporary, existential subjects with intelligence and wit.

ACRYLIC PAINTINGS
I enjoy painting landscapes and abstract compositions. In my work I find the interaction between landscape, emotion, process and the finished art work. I work in acrylics and mixed media to create colourful paintings. My approach to painting can be described as intuitive.
