Contemporary decorative ceramic vessels and bowls inspired by the sea and made in Nottinghamshire.
Sarah makes contemporary vessels, bowls and objects out of stoneware clay. Working from her studio in Nottinghamshire Sarah makes all her pottery using traditional hand building techniques of slab building, coiling and throwing – sometimes combining all three in one piece. Using a vibrant range of glazes Sarah often overlaps the glazes to produce more colour during the firing.
At the age of 11 Sarah made her first pot and with over 40 years being a potter still enjoys the endless possibilities of what can be made from clay and the excitement of finding out what has happened in the kiln.
