Hand woven textiles using luxurious natural yarns combining traditional processes with contemporary design.
Sarah Allen is a hand weaver who studied textile design at Nottingham Trent University. She uses the inherent properties of natural yarns and carefully considered weave structures to create covetable accessories.
In a workshop at the end of her garden, Sarah works on a manual dobby loom using her feet to work the treadle and hands to throw the shuttle, enjoying the physical, rhythmical, creative process.
