Inspired by landscapes, my paintings are about the essence of the place, colours, textures, memories evoked rather than exact representation.
I spent 2 years at Mansfield College of Art but regretfully (now) decided not to pursue a career in Art. Art has played an important part in my life ever since, although I needed to fit it in between raising a family and a busy career. Retired now, I can fully indulge my passion for creating art. Working with acrylic paints and inks, adding different materials to bring texture to my work. I like to be experimental with techniques, which often brings an element of abstraction to my landscapes. My studio/gallery is just across the courtyard from my home.
