OIL PAINTING AND SCULPTURE
The artists paintings use colour and the female form to create a language of mood and movement as expressed from inside the subject rather than as a voyeur to it.

The large ladies, often considered an unfashionable concept of beauty, are portrayed as a positive image of womanhood in her paintings and now in 3D too.
Nikki Mckay trained in art and design at Derby College of Art, Bristol old Vic Theatre School and Nottingham Trent University. Also trained as a dancer from the age of three, she lives and works in Nottinghamshire as a painter, and sculptor.

My studio is a lovely old cow barn situated in the courtyard of our old farmhouse. We also have a barn as a workshop, parking in the driveway is useful.
