I'm guessing that most will now have heard this - and am sorry if this is bringing the sad news that our OSNotts chair, colleague and friend, Jess Kemp passed away last week. I continue to find that difficult to say or to believe - Jess was hugely supportive of the open studios - I know she believed in it as a way of engaging people with the arts. She generously gave time and thought to supporting it right from her first involvement through the Gedling artists in 2013. She also gave practical help with the hidden stuff, quietly doing
The Creative Short Courses team at NTU very kindly supported the virtual Open Studios Notts 2020 - they are starting a host of new courses in October.

This is the final OSNotts 2020 event that was due to be promoted by us - the 'Patchings Festival' near Calverton in central Notts, reinvented this year as a virtual event. FESTIVAL EVENT 9-12 July 2020 Patchings Festival in 2020 would have been its 27th year, attracting artists & makers from around the country, creating a showcase of the finest in art, craft & photography.
