f: Mark Greene

Mark Greene was born and raised in Surrey. Having lived in The Netherlands for four years he returned to live in the UK in 2003 relocating to Nottinghamshire. It was here Greene Wood Design was born. The ethos of the company is to use reclaimed wood and materials. It has always been important to Mark to repurpose existing materials, and to produce a range of pieces very much character driven due to the nature of the wood used. As well as working on commissions Mark also attends a selection of shows and craft events around the country.

MARK GREENE – STUDIO

The workshop Mark works from was once an old coal shed which has been converted into a small compact work space. Located in the garden of his home, which in turn also becomes his workshop during the warmer months. Set in a beautiful rural setting a stone’s throw from Sherwood Forest.

MARK GREENE – WORK

Mark produces a range of pieces using reclaimed wood and materials. From furniture to smaller functional pieces. Most of the wood used is found locally from a variety of sources, and can often be hundreds of years old. Mark’s pieces are full of character and authenticity.
