I trained at Brighton College of Art (Graphic Design BA Hons) before moving to Nottinghamshire. After leaving college I became a freelance illustrator for a number of publishing companies before launching a range of illustrated cards depicting historical landmarks and landscapes. This led to commissions of bespoke paintings of properties as well as pets and portraits. I am also a qualified teacher and work freelance in schools offering special art days, after-school clubs and inter-school events. Art tuition is provided in the community and at my own private studio.

JENNIE BAMBURY’S STUDIO

Here are a selection of photos of my home studio.  I hold day events in the summer months (although not this year due to Covid19), catering for groups of up to 8 and providing lunch too.

JENNIE BAMBURY’S WORK

I enjoy working with watercolours, acrylics, mixed media and oils, occasionally using pastels. I also regularly work to commission – able to offer a bespoke service in that I paint to suit the client. I have painted portraits (in watercolour and oils), families, animals, houses and places where couples have married as well as landscapes. I love to paint anything that gives pleasure to others. I am also constantly striving to evolve my own personal work. I have a joy of holiday sketching and painting loose watercolours of flowers and the garden.
