I am a multidisciplinary artist using papercutting, collage and stencilling to make pieces that encapsulate my connection to English landscapes, architecture and heritage, especially English graveyards and grave carvings.

I am inspired by the beautiful buildings on my doorstep; as well as the wonderful trees, creatures and nature that I see when I am walking or riding my bike. Hand made processes and small scale production at the heart of what I do. I publish sustainably made greetings cards & tea towels and make hand printed textiles made from gorgeous linen upholstery waste that I source on my doorstep in Newark.

I have worked as a freelance artist since I graduated way back in 1990 after graduating with a degree in Carpet and Rug design. I specialised in textiles for many years, making hangings and rugs for galleries and churches. I turned to papercutting in 2003 and that has turned into my main practice, making works for galleries and to commission, as well as running extensive workshops for all ages across a wide variety of venues. I currently have a room based studio at home as we moved only a couple of months ago but will be changing the summer house in the garden to my proper studio in summer 2023!
