I make functional stoneware pottery some of which is reduction fired in a gas kiln to 1280°C using ash, cobalt blue and white tin glazes. Other pots are fired at Thoresby as part of Sherwood Wood Firing group. My work is sold from my workshop and from The Dovecote Gallery in Styrrup as well as local craft fairs.

My working life was in the world of business and computing. On retiring I took up pottery learning my skills from tutor Rachel Wood and Jane Hamlyn, a friend and well known salt glaze ceramicist. After ten years I’m still enjoying this personal obsession. My workshop is in an old salting house at the end of the garden, lovely in summer but freezing cold in winter.
