ABOUT MAXWELL NEALE

I studied at Lincoln College of Art for two year, foundation and pre Diploma. I then studied fine art and film making for three years at Sheffield Art College where I was awarded my Diploma in Art and Design. I spent the first four years after leaving Sheffield doing various jobs including journalism, before becoming established as a full time professional artist. Most of my work outside of commissions was based around Lincoln and the cathedral area. 32 years ago I started to teach art privately to groups of adult students and I currently run seven classes a week. Alongside this I also hold demonstrations and workshops for local art groups.

Previously a garage situated in the grounds of our house. It is a detached building of wooden construction built probably in the 1940’s. I converted it about 5 years ago to use as my studio.all my paintings be they oils, acrylics, watercolour pastels or other mediums are all produced within this studio space, art from paintings I do when I am on holiday.
