Hands on Pottery is an established Pottery school since 1997, opening at ‘The Place’ on Melrose Street in Sherwood for youth clubs and classes for all ages and abilities. Since then we have run classes for anyone with an interest in ceramics from youth organisations, schools, universities, fairs, council run organisations and many more, teaching throwing on the potters wheel and hand-built ceramics. We are also part of Sherwood Art week, exhibiting students work and our own, also organising and running the Courtyard Craft fair at “The Place”.

In January 2021 we moved to our new studio at Hartley Business Centre in Sherwood. It is exciting to be part of a new community of artists and looking forward to the new studio going into our 25th year teaching pottery.

Our studio is in Unit D42, Hartley Business Centre in Sherwood, fully equipped with all the essential pottery tools to cater for all who are interested in learning the craft of pottery.

Working with students of all levels of ability, teaching the craft of Pottery giving people the knowledge to create their own ceramics.
