Mandy is a visual artist who graduated in BA (Hons) Multi-Media Textile Design and MA Fine Art, she has also studied contemporary and historical embroidery.  She has exhibited her collages, prints and mixed-media work in local and national exhibitions (including a solo exhibition at NCCD), arts festivals (Bath and Wirksworth) and open studios events, and made prints to commission.  Alongside her own practice she has organised an after-school art club, led drop-in activities in galleries for families, held printmaking workshops for adults and delivered creative sessions for Early Years in nurseries and libraries.

MANDY BRAY – STUDIO

Mandy works from her studio in her home. She is an avid collector of found papers, patterned envelopes, magazine imagery, old photographs and postcards. Her collages, made in sketchbooks, are created from these materials and other media. These mixed-media drawings are then developed into the relief prints she produces.

MANDY BRAY – WORK

Mandy’s work depicts figurative, architectural and landscape compositions. Her small-scale collages are assembled from a variety of source material, inspired by her love of colour, pattern and shape. These design elements are carried through into her print work, creating hand-printed linocuts using single/multiple blocks layered over areas of mono-printed colour.
