I trained as a painter obtaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Staffordshire University in 1995. My work is regularly exhibited in solo and group shows. Studio visits are welcomed. There is always plenty of work in progress to look at and also finished pieces that are available to purchase and take away with you.
CHRISTINE HOWARD – STUDIO
My studio is based at the Hub in Retford, a beautiful Georgian building on Cannon Square with a view of St. Swithun’s Church beyond. It is open to the public and is home to several other artists. It is a lovely environment to work in and has lots of natural light that floods in to the top floor where my studio is located.
CHRISTINE HOWARD – WORK
My paintings and drawings currently focus on the natural world. I am drawn to the fields, woodlands and grasslands and the animals and insects that inhabit the land. The local Nottinghamshire landscape in rich in these elements.
