ABOUT ELAINE WILLIAMS

My art is informed through my BA and subsequent MA in the History of Art, this introduced me to many artists and ways of seeing form and methods of working. I use a combination of media, and often incorporate stitch to my work. this often creates an unexpected or unplanned element to my work.

ELAINE WILLIAMS – STUDIO

My studio is a wonderful space, separate from the house where I can drift away to a quiet world of creating art, in other words I can make as much mess as I like without fear of covering the kitchen in paint. It was in a previous life a garage.

Ahead of physically opening her studio to visitors on 11-12 June, here is a glimpse of Elaine’s studio.

ELAINE WILLIAMS – WORK

My work is inspired by nature and flora of many kinds using a variety of media, acrylics, oils, watercolour, linocut and stitch.

If you are interested in this work, please contact the artist directly through the links above.

GUEST WORK

In addition, Elaine’s open studio event will feature work by Sasha Kozlovska, an 11-year-old young artist from Ukraine. As Ukrainian refugees, Sasha and her mother are currently being hosted by Elaine’s daughter and son-in-law.

Sasha started drawing when she was only 2 years old. Drawing for her has always been the best way to express her feelings, emotions and hopes. Today, Sasha in her drawings conveys the pain of her country and the hope that soon Ukrainian children will be able to live happily in a free and peaceful Ukraine. But like every child, Sasha loves bright colors and fairy tales. Therefore, one of her collections is dedicated to fantastic magical animals.
