Christine Howard trained as painter obtaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Staffordshire University in 1995. Her work is regularly exhibited in solo and group shows. Work is available to purchase directly from the studio during opening hours and Christine is also taking part in Artist Support Pledge – details are on her Instagram page.
CHRISTINE HOWARD – STUDIO
The studio is based at the Hub in Retford, a beautiful Georgian building on Cannon Square with a view of St Swithun’s Church beyond. It is open to the public and is home to several other artists. It is a lovely environment to work in and has lots of natural light that floods into the top floor where the studio is located.
CHRISTINE HOWARD – WORK
Christine’s paintings and drawings currently focus on the natural world. Using a variety of materials, such as pencil, oil and occasionally precious metals, she depicts the woodlands, fields and animals and insects that inhabit the landscape around her.
